 You're not the only one who has wondered what the differences are between Medicaid and Medicare. Medicare is a health insurance program for people 65 and older that is funded by the government and taxpayers. However, Medicaid provides low-income people with healthcare and/or financial help.   

 Many people over 65 may be eligible for both. If this applies to you, remember that Medicaid is your secondary insurance and Medicare is your primary insurance.
The county office  is where you go for Medicaid. This program may assist you with both your prescription plan and your Medicare Part B premiums. Consult your local Medicaid office if you're unsure if you qualify for the Medicaid program.
